We helped co-design and visualize UI/UX concepts for future Sony products
I worked in a long-term (two-year) partnership with Sony’s Design Center and global Central Design team, co-designing and visualizing UI/UX concepts for future products. A key project was the design of Sony’s common UX framework, Genome, elements of which later shipped on PlayStation 4, Sony Experia, along with the Vaio tablet and laptops. Creative direction for the project drew inspiration from the architecture of Zaha Hadid.
In parallel, I contributed to early concept development, design exploration, and use-case definition for the original PlayStation 4 UI and UX.
The ribbon concept was adopted by other teams and eventually made its way onto other Sony devices such as the PS4 and the Vaio tablets and laptops.
Below are some additional explorations I did adding interactivity to the Gnome. These were never adopted.
